Eric is a Lumberjack and He is Okay

On Sunday, November 5, on our son’s 18th birthday, we will introduce The Royal Family Birth Weight Challenge fund raiser to support March of Dimes. Eric has agreed to the sharing of his story for this fundraiser and to provide hope for others who might be experiencing a similar situation.

A post will be published on each Sunday between November 5 and December 24. This time period was chosen because it represents the time Eric was in the NICU after being born. You can use this link to visit the Royal Family Birth Weight Challenge fund raising page and to read about our NICU experience.

A 2009 photo of Eric dressed as a Fireman for Halloween. He stands next to a green fire hydrant wearing a red fireman hat and red coat.

For this post we selected two of our favorite Eric Halloween costumes. The above picture was taken in 2009 when Eric was dressed as a fireman and the below picture is this year’s lumberjack costume.

A 2023 photo of Eric dressed as a lumber jack for a Halloween Party. He is holding a toy axe, and is wearing a flannel shirt with the sleeves cut off, blue jeans, and steel-toe boots.

Eric is a high school senior,  works at H-E-B, enjoys working out, and plans to attend college next fall.
